Hey I'm Rubric (an alias for current purposes until I learn to trust).
I like reading writing and winning arguments. I'm studying law, english and philosophy at adelaide uni to further my skills at all 3.
I love yws for it's freedom of opinion, and it's storybooks.
Hope to hear from you, dear reader,

At the moment, I'm attending Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania (don't bother to check it out on the 'net, the website we have at the moment is patently atrocious at best). A fine school with an excellent reputation, but rather small. In Pennsylvania, yet - for a gap year, I imagine you'll want something rather more riveting than corn fields, Volkdeutsch, Russian Orthodox churches and abandoned coal mines!
And I must say that I'm terribly impressed with the goals you've set for yourself. It's interesting that you mention the mutual support of your courses. ... My own academic adviser pointed out that I had chosen two wholly divergent majors, and urged me to reconsider. That having been said, and all pretense aside, I do find that numbers and music are mutually complementary. They share a common aura, don't you think? Consider Beethoven's brilliantly mathematical symphonies, or Mozart's symmetrical operas. Perhaps the fields do not support each other as wonderfully as English and law, but they do intersect at points. Think of it as a skewed sort of collegiate Venn diagram. ^_~

Whilst wandering back over your profile, I discovered that you are currently studying English, law and philosophy. ... Which is a considerable coincidence, as I believe I would have wished to study any one of those first and foremost had music and mathematics not assaulted me first.
My brother laughed at me when I mentioned this, saying, "No one finds a job with a philosophy degree."
Right, because classical pianists are - on the flip-side - so well paid. ^_^
When you say that you are studying all three, do you mean that you are pursuing two majors and a minor? Or some other variation? You must forgive my ignorance of the Australian education system, I am hopelessly ignorant and American.

Kind of a perfect personal title, you know? 'Should make up a conjugation list, a grand tangle of confused grammar extending all the way from
I necromance
You necromance
He, She necromances
We necromance
They necromance
to
I shall have necromanced
You shall have necromanced
He, She shave have necromanced
We shall have necromanced
They shall have necromanced.
But the declension ends up being rather dull, all the same endings. So some awesomeness points are stripped from the concept of necromancy as a verb, but it maintains it glorious status nontheless.
... I clearly have way too much time on my hands. Nice to meet you. ^_^
