Meh? I'm an avid reader, and occasionally I write, poetry and short fiction, usually. I'm really trying to write more consistently; I tend to write in little spurts and then go through long periods of writer's block. I live in a remote little town in Alaska where it rains basically all the time. About the user name: a fireweed is a wildflower which grows all over the place up here in Alaska, my avatar is a photo of one.

...But you live in Alaska? lol. Yes, I love Yeats too. This was one of many poems he wrote to Maud Gonne, who was John MacBride's wife. He always loved her, but she never returned it. There was a picture of her in our history books (along with Countess Markievicz, mentioned in the poem Easter 1916 -she's one of my heroes from history, completely mad, of course, the first woman to gain a seat in the British Parliament but she didn't take it)... anyway, back to Maud Gonne, we spent fifteen minutes (well, the boys did) the fact that she looked a bit like Keira Knightley...
Absolutely! I'm in the middle of "Children of the Mind", the fourth Ender book. Before you read those, though, you should try "Ender's Shadow" and the Bean Quartet. The Ender sequels are pretty weird!
Yes, the evil captain was the scariest (torture scene - eewww!), but when people don't run away when something is coming to eat them... I get creeped out

I know! He really is. I want to see The Last King of Scotland, because I heard that was really good. And I need another heavy dose of [Becoming Jane, Atonement, and Penelope.
