I advise you to just create an account in Photobucket.com, upload all your pictures to there and then just copy and paste their image codes into your posts. It's so much easier.

I've applied to be a greeter and got rejected, mainly because I hadn't posted once on the welcome forum. That was a month ago and I want to try again, having met the requirements. Will I get rejected for applying again to soon?

Dumb question, I'm sure, but If I was removed from any previous status due to inactivity, would it be in bad taste to try to apply again? Not that I'm terribly worried about the color of my name, but I'd just thought I'd ask. *shrugs*

I don't think it would be bad to reapply at all! Don't think of inactivity is a bad removal - we just have to clean things up every now and then though, you know? I would suggest giving it a few weeks to show you have fully returned to your previous active status, and then reapply.

I saw that some of the people around here talk about Mentors. You must an Instructor in order to become or to be a Mentor?

*Hopes she doesn't get in trouble for answering this*

I don't think so but I think it would be best to wait til you have more posts before PMing Meep. The people that are in the mentoring program have tons of posts (Hundreds, if not more). You'll probably have a higher chance if you apply to be a Greeter or Instructor (For the first one, it requires tons of posts in the Welcome forum, welcoming new members, and the second one requires tons of good, quality reviews) and get in; seeing as all of the mentors in the program are in colors, minus Crysi, whose been here since the beginning.

For more info, join YWS Mentors usergroup and read this: http://www.youngwriterssociety.com/topic19983.html

I would like to say, and this isn't directed at anyone in particular, that instructors and greeters are two different things, and what I mean by that, is that becoming an instructor is in no way a promotion from being a greeter - one does not precede the other. Just thought I'd point that out because that seems to be what some people think.

I'll be trying to get to be a greeter at some point (soon) =)

I will write many greetings in the forum before that anyways Smile , (I'm not in a hurry)

But my question is =

If you ever wish. Is it possible if you are a greeter to become an instructor?

Of course! I know Snoink and Suzanne are mods as well as Instructors! And at least a couple are greeters and JMs, just as an example. Though, to hold both titles you must still meet the qualifications of each. If you've been approved for, let's say greeter, and you were previously an instructor, and don't think you can keep up with both, just send a quick PM to me or Firestarter (Jack). We don't want to overload anyone!

quick question: what is the general response time for applications? (yes, this question has been asked but I do not believe that there has been a concrete answer like "1 week" or "2 weeks")

also, if members are not allowed to apply for Junior Moderation, then why does the sub-title to this forum say "Want to become a Junior Moderator, Instructor, or Greeter?"
