| I think I lost all the poems I wrote on TYWC when the site went down. This makes me want to cry. That poetry defined me for a long while, and the quality of some pieces surpasses what I can muster now, having fallen into lack of practice. I must have lost hundreds of poems on there. |

| I was either part of that site or wanted to be but it was for a short amount of time. It's still sad that it's gone, though. |

I spent a few years on TYWC, 2002-2004 I think. I wrote under ernesthemingwayii and unfunny clown. It was a HUGE part of my life; for a few months it was like I lived on that website. I made so many friends and grew so much because of that website. It helped that I joined smack in the middle of adolescence. I really miss that site sometimes. I found this thread when I was looking up TYWC out of nostalgia, as I do from time to time. This is a very sad feeling. I feel like a part of me has disappeared.
Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for college. It would have been nice to have that link to my past.
I'm happy to see that so many old friends are alive and well .

| Lots of familiar names here. I'm really glad someone backed up all my old writings for me, otherwise it would be totally gone. Does anyone know what happened? |

I found this poem when I was looking through the archives. I believe it's yours. I had remembered it from when I was 11. Weird, huh? |

| It looks like the site is back up. That really is strange. |

Totally. I was Liz_Funk, you may remember me...Anyhow although I'd probably cringe at the stuff I put up there it'd be nice to just have it, you know? To remember where I came from. I lost it all when my computer died about 2 years ago and I always relied on TYWC. Weird that it's just gone.
Anyway hey to all the old TYWC members on here - what a blast from the past! |

| All of the ice in my drink melted in a matter of half a minute. That's absurd. But yes. I was 11 whence I first frequented the TYWC, and i'm turning 20 in 2 days. Time is nothing more than the catalogue of change. And I feel a page of that catalogue has been torn out and used to wipe up something that stains paper easily. I suck at metaphors. |
