Azrayel-

He watched the sailor warily before glancing towards the soldier. Ray kicked a chair out and nodded at the man. "Go ahead." Ray stated quietly. "I don't know about Tanner, but anyone who "harasses" the empire is a friend of mine."

The blond man slid into the chair and pocketed the pistol. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend?"

Ray shrugged and leaned back in his seat. "Something like that."

Howell

He eased the hammer back on his gun, not wanting it to go off against his leg. He looked at the girl, holding his hands up a little defensively, she still seemed apprehensive, "I'm a man of my word - I won't pursue the matter any further. Cargo can be replaced. Of course, I would like to know why you did it, just out of curiosity." Howell turned back to her friend, "So you're a rebel, then?" Howell asked with a cautious glance at the soldier. Apparently he'd heard nothing.

"That I am, and you?"

"Pirate, so in a sense I am a rebel. My father was like you though - he was in killed three years back in the rebellion on Katal."

"Where were you?"

"Piloting the airship between there and here. We had to go to ground for a long while after we heard - the son of a rebel isn't the kind of person the empire'd trust with a ship. And with good reason, too." He looked from one to the other, and then back at the soldier again. The man plainly thought he was a local. "I'll be getting back to my ship now, gotta check up on some things and call some people off your trail. If you two need passage anywhere, or if the rebellion needs any help here, you know where to find me."

**Okay, this storybook needs either a DT, or a certain sort of plot.**

Acrylis

I sat in the back of the inn, watching the people around me converse.

*I know, but I don't have the points to make a DT. For the plot what happens is that shortly after all the characters meet. Someone tris to assasinate the Queen. And out group is blamed. As time passes someone in the shadows tries to manipulate the Rebels and the Empire into an all out war. At first we're just the scape goats, but when we try to clear our names we become a threat.*

Camelia

She walked through the enormous market, her wings tucked securely underneath her jacket with Layla, who was also disguised. She carefully weaved through the multiple stands and shook her head in pity for the poor ones begging on the street. Not all of them could live as well as she did. She grabbed the bag of coins on her hip, reached in and threw a handful into the air. The beggars scattered and ran for the coins.

The rain was poring furiously now, and she paised under an awning to a bar before turning to go in. She felt somenoe grab at her hip and whirled around to see some drunk grab at the intricately woven belt and look vacantly at her.

"Hey toots, come grab a drink! Stay for a while what's yer hurry?" the man said, tightening his grip.

She tried shaking herself loose but the man had a good hold of her, especially for a drunk. She felt her sword smack her thigh as she struggled, and thought about it for a second. It would only take one swipe. No, it would do no good to kill, she thought. There's a good amount of people and she wasn't one to kill.

Instead, she simply kicked the chair backwards and ran into the bar as the man struggled to get up. Layla followed closely, growling at people that came too close to them; she obviously didn't like this place. All the tables were packed, except for one that contained three people chatting idly. She walked over to them, Layla following protectively in her wake.

"Hey, mind if I join you?" she asked, looking from one face to another.

"Sure, pull up a chair," one man said.

"I'm Camelia," she said sitting down and extending her hand.

"Azrayel, but I'm called Ray," one of the men said, shaking her hand.

*Just so everyone knows, it takes a great deal of power for one Storm Caller to interfere in another's working. Unless given permission by the one who cast the power. That's why the storm is still hanging around the islands. Any of the royal family members (Acrylis, Kaleb, Camelia, and myself) would be capable of it, but keep in mind that such a feet would be a dead give away to your identity.*

Azrayel-

Ray glanced around the room and noticed a girl standing in the corner. She looked a little confused, clearly not used to the thriving port industry of Karov. Most of the resources came from outside since only a handful of natives could explore the jungle to the fullest.

Her hair and clothes were damp from the rain and small bunches of feathers were sticking through the shirt slits. Proof that her wings hadn't quite dried yet. She wore the badge of a servant of the noble house of Sylvia.

She glanced over and noticed Ray staring. Smiling he lifted his mug and raised an eyebrow, a silent question if she was hungry. The girl nodded and came to take a seat at the table, introducing herself as Acrylis. When the food arrived all of them dug in quickly, the warm food chasing away the cold of the rain.

Howell

He checked the cargo quickly, making sure nothing more had been stolen. Then he turned to his first mate, "We've made contact with the rebels. I'm calling off the hunt."

"But the thief-"

"She's working for them, and that crate wasn't necessary anyway. This way, we don't risk putting another group offside."

The man nodded, "Alright, captain. Anything else?"

Howell shook his head, "No, just keep the cargo we're not selling on the ship, keep the ship ready to leave, and I'm going to head back to the bar. The rebels will still be there, and I'm going to stay with them until we leave Karov." It was eccentric, not leaving until he had a reason to: normally having delivered what they were meant to was enough. This time though, he felt the rebellion was going to be more than just a short, suicidal burst of activity. After all, the rebel in the bar had had wings, as well as he kept them hidden. And his friend kept a tiger as a pet. That alone said the rest of the rebels were at least worth meeting.

Besides, he hadn't even introduced himself.

*I think everyone's in the inn now, except for Howell he's on his way back. Can someone start the "mix-up" soon? And so everyone knows I created a character list in the DT, so we don't have to keep checking back through the story.*

Bella

"Thank you," I said after I had eaten a bit. I was warming up, and finally feeling fairly content. "I'm Acrylis."

"Good to meet you. Azrayel," he held out his hand, which I shook carefully. "Ray for short," he added. I nodded.

Suddenly the doors to the inn burst open.

Wink there we go!

Kivok-

While I was looking around I got very lucky. I spotted a few feathers sticking out of slits in the back of a man’s shirt and that was one of the only things I knew about Storm Callers, they all had wings. Suddenly the loud slamming of the inn door caused me to look up from my drink. A soldier had burst into the inn. Taking a quick look at everyone around him, he went up to the bartender and ordered a brog. Dang, another raid!! I thought. This would be my last chance to talk to the winged person.

I quickly walked over to him and whispered, "What do you know about Storm Callers?"

*This will probably be my last post till June*

*That's wrong, the world is divided into the lower realm and the sky realm. EVERYONE of the Sky people has wings, not just the Storm Caller's. You could ask him as a native of the Sky Realm but that's about it.*

NO!!! All the Storm Callers have wings. Sky people have wings too, but my character would ask one of the sky people and not one of the people from the lower realm.

Camelia

She silently sipped her warm drink and listened to the conversation, rarely adding her input. Here and there someone made a witty comment and she laughed lightly with them. Layla stirred restlessly at her feet and finally leapt up and with a loving yet slightly slightly scornful look at Camelia for choosing to sit with those people, she trotted off into the woods.

"Oi! You know where I can get a place to sleep?" she asked.

Ugh! Not another!

He pulled on her sleeve. She didn
t want anything to do with guys like this.
