I don't want to wait til November to start my NaNo. It's all planned out, and I'm itching to write something new. But I do want to try NaNoWriMo. Is anyone in the same boat? Anyone having trouble? Any encouragement? I could use it. :)

Thanks!
~Sunny

You can do it! Just preoccupy yourself with other things until you can start writing, and think about scenes and things you want to write for it, and then once November comes, go crazy!! haha. I'm considering entering because I never have before, and it souds like fun!!

I'm in the same boat and I have no idea what to tell you. Good luck with not writing it yet. Smile

I know how you feel lyric and always. My idea is so good and the characters are right there waiting for me to write about them and I don't know how to stop myself until November. Well good luck with trying to wait for NaNo.

It just adds to the fun--building up your hatred for dates and times, then unleashing it all in 50,000 words of novelly goodness!

What I'm doing to get into the writing style and into the heads of my characters is writing short stories that are set in the future, and not in the timeline of my NaNo.

I'm doing an activity like Cal's. I'm basically writing short stories about the characters. Except, in these short stories, the plot of my NaNo doesn't exist. But it's the same time and place. Just much easier problems. No traitors causing diseases here!

But I'm just trying to get into my character's head.

Wow, it's amazing what sorts of things you can apply to theatre AND writing...
