I always write on the side of my bed hunched over one of my raggedy notebooks. I also like to write with the slow music such as "On Fire" by Switchfoot blasting in the background...I don't know why but I work well with sad, slow songs playing in the background. I don't feel comfortable writing anywhere else except that one spot in my room. I don't even write (or draw) at my desk.
I have to write at my desk because I don't have a laptop and my handwriting looks like chicken scratch. If I wrote by hand, I wouldn't be able to read most of it and I'd just wind up changing everything when I go to type it up. But If I had a choice, I'd probably write on my bed too.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. — T.S. Eliot
