Hi! I’m currently working on the first draft of my novel, and it’s about 220+ book pages so far. Unfortunately, i am really not that far along with my plot, and i’m anticipating very roughly that the finished “book 1” or just, this project, will be around 400+ pages :,)

Obviously, I don’t want to drag my story on for that long, and obviously, I don’t want it to be too rushed either. How do I know when to stop?

I’m presuming this would be after I finish my first draft, so I’ll see after then. But comments and help and tips on planning would be appreciated!

When your heart gets pierced with arrows, don't rip them out and pierce those around you in retribution for your hurt. You'll only unnecessarily wound others and bleed to death yourself.
