Okay we've made it a week into NaPo! Anyone up to a casual poetry prompt driven contest? I'll give 500 points to the best "#jammified poem" this week that makes usage of rhyme in some way.
To participate:
> Your poem must mention jam or jelly in some way, the theme does not have to be jam / jelly though.
> Your poem must use rhyme in some way.
> You must post a link to your poem right here.
> Your poem is due by the end of the day April 11th.
> Watch out for more casual poetry contests during #NaPo!

So before I announce the winners! Here's a few of my favorite quotations from these poems which you should all take the time to read!!
>>>Sweet jam, sweet butter, cloying on the tongue.
Saying 'u r right' is like convulsing,
ridiculous cult rites for wound-soothing.

I miss our jam jar conversations - river bound,
shoes off, blanket out, basket downed,
sweets melting in mellow mouths as we skip stones,
@Rydia here
the condensation of her sweat collects
(like morning dew at every hour of
the day) around this tightening jam jar's neck,
yet stills she thinks it fits just like a glove.

We fed
on squash till we were sick, but still the whales
(the biggest ones) continued to assail
our porch.

These were all really great reads, I recommend checking them out!!
