Due to various circumstances, the landmasses that the protagonists can access have been reduced to literally just the mountains and (inactive) volcanoes.
Filled in some details about my weirdly-shaped magic sun. I also gave the continent where my story will take place a name and started redesigning the society my characters live in.
I briefly thought of some questions I needed to answer about the magic forces in the story, given the changes/ developments I did to the climate and physical system. Didn't achieve my mini goal to work on this for 23 minutes, but I did do *something*.
I'm definitely trying to lean towards 'soft fantasy' when I actually get to writing this, but in the planning stage it just looks like an incomplete/haphazard 'hard fantasy' before I do all the literary effects xD
Worked on the worldbuilding for 23 minutes today! I added one magic-related way that the inhabitants of this setting get water. I also wrote up a brief summary of what one of the continents looks like and jotted down an idea for a scene where the main character talks about her favourite theory on how this setting's sun works.
Thought up the origins and magic workings of one big landmark/phenomenon, plus contemplated what the sky looks like at different times of day, i different locations (hey, my novella has a surprising number of moments where sky colour comes into focus).
