Spoiler! :
Just part of a fun project I did for school :)

In a land before the creation of stars and planets, there once lived a powerful being. His name was Erthas. Erthas, in the eyes of all the smaller beings that would long after come into existence, was a god. But this god was not alone. He had summoned upon him guards, one to watch over him by day, the other by night. The first was Heathus. He patrolled the world while the universe was lit with the light of Erthas's power. Erthas had brought him into his world while it blazed and shone, and since then, Heathus had not seen darkness. Heathus longed to be rid of endless hours of heat and fire, and he became slack and tired.
The second guard was named Luna. She stalked the night when the almighty god was slumbering. She had never set foot where the fires lit the universe. She sought out often the lights of the other world, for she dreamed of days when she shone in the blaze, and warmth spread over her frozen back. So the guards decided to meet in the twilight hours before the fires glowed once more. Just as the embers were beginning to spark again, the two guards switched places, Luna gazing onto the fires while Heathus stumbled into the night. Luna was blinded by the brilliant, flashing world. Still, her curiosity pulled her forward. The other guard, however, was stuck, for he could not distinguish his own hand from the black around him. His eyes would not permit him to see. Luna peered about the burning world around her, and soon discovered that the fires were a power to be feared. The flames tickled and lunged at her feet, and so she ran, only to find that she would pummel into another. When her eyes began to feel weak, Luna wished for the light to leave her.
In the nightworld next to her, Heathus was searching out the flames, but no matter where he ran, he could not find them. Heathus fell to his knees, and began to yell at the heavens. He begged and pleaded, and his cries could be heard in his world and the next. And so when Luna heard, she shouted back, but not before Erthas was awoken. Erthas was thrown into a rage, his flames growing larger and his darkness becoming deeper. As Luna and Heathus ran to the veil between the worlds, Erthas sealed the gateway. His roar shattered the universe. Erthas threw his guards into the heavens, banishing them from all the worlds as he poured all of his power into them in his anger. And when all his power and all his light were drained from him, the god's heart stopped beating. His light was split into thousand tiny pieces, and they were transported into the sky.
Heathus, stuck forever in Luna's home, was plunged into everlasting darkness, his body frozen white. And Luna, who was still plagued by the light of Heathus's half, was set alight with her worst fear. She blazed with fire and flames and glowed with the light of Erthas's power. And so they stayed, each one wishing to replace the other, but never catching a glimpse of the other world. They lived, and are pehaps still living.

We can still see them, today. If we gaze upon the stars we can see the explosions of light, the remaining power of Erthas. If we are lucky enough to see the perfect shape of the moon through the clouds, we can track Heathus in his journey across the nightworld. And there is Luna, her soul burning with a million flames as she too travels through the universe, her new name echoing through the stars: Sun. But the guards of the universe have not deserted their master just yet. No, they still watch over him. He still erupts with power to this very day, but let's hope to never uncover the chamber of his fires. His anger vents through the crusts of the Earth.
But no one is truely ablaze forever.

Great story, unique and simply put yet very creative. Like the references to "creation" and reminds me of the story of the Marvel character, THOR in the movie.
