The author, Libby Svenson, wrote it when she was 13.

I noticed there are some grammar mistakes like run-on sentences, but it's not that bad. With some constructive criticism and editing, Ms. Svenson can be a great writer. There does seem to be some sockpuppet reviews, but not many.
Also, her grandfather wrote the Happy Hollisters books.
Also, are any of you on Antishurtugal? You can discuss the book on there.

Actually, never mind.

It is only a novel... or, in short, only some work in which the greatest powers of the mind are displayed, in which the most thorough knowledge of human nature, the happiest delineation of its varieties, the liveliest effusions of wit and humour, are conveyed to the world in the best-chosen language
— Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey
