I see you little tree, my friend
and all your splendid leaves.
And you can see me too i think
between your emerald eaves.

How is it that you fair, my dear
amidst the tow’ring pines,
Without the slightest company
apart from that of mine?

I thought that was beautiful.
Mainly because it was about trees, and most probably because that is exactly what I do. I talk to trees. In a way, this is what I say. Even though I don't know it.
These words are magical, thank you.

I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense, but I cannot possibly even begin to express you my gratitude for sharing this piece with the world!

SORRY. I'M WEIRD. DON'T TAKE NOTE OF IT. Just keep writing! You rock! :D

It's amazing how much of a story you tell in just two stanzas. It's not necessarily a complex poem, but it's delivered with such intensity that you transform these eight lines into very insightful expressions. It's such a simple rhyming scheme too, but the effect is amazing! That final line
amidst the tow'ring pines, Without the slightest company apart from that of mine?
has an incredibly powerful effect. Almost like that used of Dorothea Mackellar in 'My Country', I just think that use of rhyme is amazing. Anyway, I love it completely, the message behind the words and the beautiful flowing lines, I just love. Well done to you, sir.
