if you could pick 11 songs to be in the soundtrack of rock/punk (usually one with the other), which 11 would they be? don't pick songs like What are you waiting for, or Carwash because those are NOT rock, and don't pick songs from artists like the Offspring or Usher because they are NOT rock n' roll bands.

And rememeber: These are anthems. And please only one song to each artist.

In no paticular order:

1. (I can't get no) Satisfaction - The Stones
2. Call me - Blondie
3. Knocking on Heavens Door- Guns N' Roses
4. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
5. White Wedding - Billy Idol
6. Original Sin - INXS
7. Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple (of course!)
8. My Generation - The Who
9. Blowin' in the Wind - Bob Dylan
10. Piano Man - Billy Joel
and 11. Wonderwall - Oasis

Yeah, in no particular order. Mine arent so popular but are definately anthems if you ask the right people.

The Prayer Position- AFI
The Impression That I Get- Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Never Had So Much Fun- Frenzal Rhomb
Superman- Goldfinger
Rockin The Suburbs- Ben Folds
Monkey Wrench- Foo Fighters
Rock The Casbah- The Clash (gotta have some classics in here)
Not The Same- Bodyjar
Dammit- Blink 182
Beer- Reel Big Fish
Wonderful- Everclear

I must admit it was hard to think of 11 songs. Towards the end they got less important but the first 4 are definately anthems in my eyes.
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a head that empty?
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a heart that gone?

In no particular order (these are anthems to me, and if you don't think they are rock and roll, well...nothing is true rock and roll anymore, it's all just branches from it)

1. Don't Look Back into the Sun - The Libertines
2. I Fought the Law - The Clash
3. Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
4. Time of your Life - Green Day
5. Mr.Brightside - The Killers
6. Champagne Supernova/Whatever/Stop Crying your Heart Out/Wonderwall/Don't Look Back in Anger (too hard to choose 1!!!) - Oasis
7.There is a Light that Never Goes Out - The Smiths
8.Pictures of You - The Cure
9.Girl From Mars - Ash
10.Yellow - Coldplay
11.Apply some Pressure - Maximo Park
