500 words is so short! It doesn't help that I tried to crunch a whole second half into my piece while retaining the first half. My story idea is easily executed in like 2000 words, not-so-much 500. But I guess that's why it's the Olympics!
I think what I have at least makes sense now, so I'm going to leave it alone.
Anyone else wish they had like.... 800 more words to work with? XD
