I think we all recognize that triumphant moment of bliss when you’re in the “zone”, typing away at your keyboard, or furiously scratching at a loose piece of paper.

There are days though, especially during NaPo, where you’re forcing to write every day, and it just seems like you're stranded on a desert and there’s no thought or inspiration in sight. How can we keep going? How can we keep writing?

If writing is an ocean -- reading is like a river. It replenishes. It inspires. It teaches. We’re all writers here, but time in time we may forget how we got into the game: by reading!

Here are some of the top online poetry literary magazines that I know of where you're able to read through free issues. You can bookmark this page, take a day out of the week and read through them, and feel free to post or add on to this list.

What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty, in form and moving how express and admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a god -- the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!
— William Shakespeare
