When you are really in the mood to write some dark poetry.

Anger is my county,
Pain is my domain,
Suffering is plenty,
Love is my game.

Remorse is the date that walks in late,
Pity is the dealer that you never saw,
Envy is the mate that fuels your hate,
Sadness is the hitchhiker you ignore.

Life is the one who looks on from a window,
Death is the one who’s cruelly kind,
Light is the one who you find you can’t follow,
Darkness is the one who covers your mind.

Truth is my hypocrisy,
Hope is my barbwire,
Kindness is my falsity,
Hate is my fire.

Friends are my enemies,
Darkness is my friend.
If you dare to find me,
I’m afraid it is the end.

Keep writing for as long as it brings you joy!

Hi mithrim! :D

......

Wow. That is all I can say. You've actually left me speechless. This poem is amazing. The way you've personified all these emotions is... Woah. I don't have any Nitpicks and I just... I love this poem. You had me captured from beginning to end.

I'd rather waltz than just walk through the forest.
The trees keep the tempo and they sway in time.
Quartet of crickets chime in for the chorus.
If I were to pluck on your heart strings would you strum on mine?

Wow!! I LOVE IT!! its so chilling and creepy. I like how you became Death, with a capital D. You made it become alive! You also rhymed it, which always creates good flow.

Great Job! Happy new year!! 2012 :smt002
He who laughs last, should do so from a safe distance.
