Questions in the Darkness
Why talk
when nobody would listen,
when nobody would care,
when they’d simply misinterpret the things you’d say?
Why listen
when they won’t do the same,
when they’d get angry when you rationalize,
when they insist that you’re the one who has to realize?
Why…
Why be happy
when your joy is their frustration?
Why go rest
when you’ll always feel exhaustion?
…
This is a dark night.
I hope that at the end of the tunnel, there would be light.
Heck, they say that there always is.
Maybe I just couldn’t see the moon when I entered the tunnel.
Maybe I shouldn’t worry that there’d still be darkness at the end.
Perhaps I’d see the moon when I finally come out.
If that happens, then there really is light.
I walk here through the tunnel; the darkness has me blind.
I hope that in my silence, an answer I would find.
